This breadbox brings together traditional joinery and a warm cherry finish to create a kitchen staple that will last for generations. The roll-top tambour lid adds a satisfying tactile element to daily use.

Build Notes

• Dovetailed case for strength and visual detail
• Tambour roll-top lid constructed from individual cherry slats
• Case back fitted with solid panel to allow for wood movement
• Finished with shellac for a warm tone, then paste wax for protection
• Interior left unfinished to remain food-safe
