Timber and Tides Woodcraft
A small one-person shop in Milliken, in Northern Colorado, building custom furniture, gifts, and functional pieces — one board at a time.
The Maker
From Garage Projects to Fine Furniture
I grew up working alongside my father in our garage. Most of our projects were construction-related, but every now and then,
we built cabinets, and those were always my favorite. Before long, I was building small boxes and cabinets of my own to organize
odds and ends around the house. They were far from perfect, but I was hooked on the process.
During college, I built my first bed frame, a project that marked my transition from simple storage pieces to furniture making. Nearly 13 years later, that bed
frame is still in use today. Since then, I have developed a dedicated workshop where each new project is an opportunity to push my skills further.
Craftsmanship with Purpose
My background in cabinet making has taught me how to blend function with style. I enjoy tackling projects I have never built
before, designing custom jigs, and learning new techniques to achieve the best possible results.
From end-grain butcher blocks and custom keepsake pieces to large freestanding furniture, I take pride in creating
durable, handcrafted works designed to be both beautiful and practical.
Custom Cabinets and Furniture
I build everything from one-of-a-kind furniture to complete cabinet installations for homes and businesses. Materials are sourced
locally through various wood suppliers in NoCo, allowing me to use high-quality hardwoods and sheet goods while supporting local businesses.
If you have a project in mind, I would be honored to help bring your ideas to life.
The Process
From concept to craftsmanship to delivery, we make commissioning custom woodworking simple and seamless.
- 1
Reach out
Send an email with a commission request.
Include your name, contact information, project idea, rough dimensions, wood preferences (species of wood, hard or soft wood, etc...), timeline, and your budget. - 2
Design & estimate
A design deposit will be required for custom projects prior to the start of the design process. I use CAD modeling to give you a 3D interactive model that I can modify to meet your vision. The complexity and size of the project will proportionally affect the design fees.
Once we agree on a design, I will lock it in and begin the quote process. Any future changes will have to go through a change order process. - 3
Build
I construct all projects with strength and quality in mind. I typically use cabinet-grade materials and hardwood for trim. I take great pride in a seamless finish, one that will be sure to impress your house guests or business customers.
- 4
Delivery
I can ship anywhere in the lower 48 states. Local delivery is included in every project. “Built-in” projects are available as well.
Materials & Finishes
It is hard to say what my favorite wood type is, they all have their own beauty...what am I saying, Walnut is the best! Joking aside,
I love working with whatever I can get my hands on, from softwoods to exotic hardwoods that chew through my blades in a few minutes.
I love the variation in colors, textures, and smells that every wood species brings!
Wood is sourced from trusted local suppliers whenever possible, with specialty species available through online sourcing when a
project calls for it. Standard finishes include Minwax for most projects and food-safe mineral oil for kitchen and dining pieces,
with custom finish options available upon request.
